AUCA students participated in the first Iaido festival in Kyrgyzstan. Iaido is a Japanese martial art associated with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword and reacting to a surprise attack.

On September 1, 2010, students, faculty, alumni, parents and friends gathered for the Knowledge Day Ceremony to recognize the academic and extracurricular leadership of nearly 90 AUCA students.

Dr. Vaira Vike-Freiberga, the sixth President of Latvia and the first female president of the Eastern European countries, delivered a public presentation titled “The Latvian Experience in Democratic Transition”.

On September 9, 2010, all AUCA students are invited to attend the Annual Student Club Fair. This event is an opportunity for students to engage in the extracurricular life of our university and to learn more about AUCA student clubs.

IRT upgraded AUCA web mail service RoundCube from version 0.2.1 to 0.4 (stable). Now all users can access the upgraded web mail system at http://mail.auca.kg/

Elections to Academic Senate and its Sub-Committees will take place on Monday, September 13, 2010. The polling station next to "Bravo" will open at 9:00 and will close at 17.00.
