Library instruction helps students to learn how to effectively use library resources in conducting research or writing a paper. We are happy to conduct instruction sessions on using library electronic resources, formulating search strategy, ethical use of information, evaluating sources, citation styles (APA, MLA) and others.
Library Instruction works best when it is presented in conjunction with a specific assignment so that the librarian can focus the instruction on abstracts, indexes, electronic resources, and other types of informational materials that are used in the research and writing process. To request a library session on a particular topic, please contact us by email: library@auca.kg at least two weeks prior to the requested date for instruction. A typical library session is 50 minutes.
Faculty can reserve materials from the Library collection to ensure their availability for the students to use in a specific course (the material is typically in high demand or required for a course).
AUCA institutional repository is the place where you can publish your papers, share research data, or store digital images and multimedia files. You can make your research works visible, accessible, useable and citable worldwide.
The Library provides interlibrary loan and delivery service to help faculty obtain materials that are unavailable in the AUCA Library. We can request a book or electronic document from other libraries worldwide. Please use WorldCat catalog to search for materials that are not available at the AUCA Library.
We are happy to search for resources on a specific topic or subject. Please contact us if you have difficulties in finding and locating a particular document.
