On September 26, 2016 AUCA Library hosted program on history of American music organized by the American Music Center. The students of Kurenkeev Music College performed both American and traditional Kyrgyz folk songs to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience and the center coordinator Svetlana Dehnich talked about the history of American music and its origin
Over 60 AUCA students took part in the event. 
The audience was performed the most famous kyrgyz national song "Kukuk"
and African-American spiritual "Somebody's knocking at your door"
